HOT ROD FULLER WILL START FROM NO. 11 SPOT AT DENVER

MORRISON, Colo. (July 24, 2010) - "Hot Rod" Fuller, the 2007 Top Fuel winner at Bandimere Speedway, drove his Abu Dhabi/Yas Marina Circuit Top Fuel dragster to the No. 11 qualifying position Saturday afternoon at Bandimere Speedway near Denver.

Fuller, who raced to the provisional No. 9 qualifying position with a lap of 4.113-seconds on Friday evening at the Denver track, carded a lap of 4.878 seconds at 152.49 mph on Saturday's first qualifying lap. Fuller's Abu Dhabi/Yas Marina Circuit car lost traction as did most cars during the third qualifying session at the 31st annual Mile-High Nationals. Fuller's dragster again lost traction on its final qualifying pass and coasted to a lap of 4.887 at 149.93 to finish 11th in the 16-car order.

"It's really tough out there this weekend," Fuller said. "It's always a challenge racing up here at Bandimere (Speedway), but most cars are struggling to get down this track. We're close, but struggled in the middle part of the track as did most teams. I have a lot of confidence in Lee Beard and this team that they'll make the right calls and we'll go some rounds on Sunday."

Fuller will face off against No. 6 qualifier Shawn Langdon who is ranked seventh in the 2010 NHRA Top Fuel standings.
