Jeg looks for more success at Bandimere

The Mopar Mile High Nationals is the first event of the "west coast" swing. The NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series will hit Denver, Seattle and Sonoma without a break between the challenging events.

The reigning NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion has had a fair amount of success in the past Bandimere Speedway. Jeg Jr has scored two wins ('98 & '99), a second round appearance and two-first round losses. The 33-year old has competed on the mountain five times in his short career.

"I am always excited to race at Bandimere Speedway," said Jeg. "The Bandimere family has always provided a great stage to compete on."

Jeg Coughlin will enter the 13th race of the 23-event series in the No. 4 position in the NHRA POWERade championship. The two-time Pro Stock champion is 42 points from taking over the No. 3 spot.

Coughlin knows the importance of putting together a string of strong performances during the "west coast" swing.

"Doing well at the next three races can be rewarding for a team," explained Jeg. "The key to our success will be to take advantage of the misfortune(s) other teams have and avoid making errors that we control. All three climates are different and present unique challenges."
