RIVAS RIDES INTO DENVER CONFIDENT; EADY TO REPEAT THE TEAM'S SUCCESS RFROM LAST YEAR

DENVER, Colo., July 8, 2008- Chris Rivas of the G2 Motorsports Drag Specialties S&S Cycle V-Twin Pro Stock Motorcycle approaches this weekend's 29th annual Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals here at Bandimere Speedway confident of the team's abilities. Undeterred by the 5,860 feet above sea level elevation of the track and still riding on the momentum from the Chicago and Englishtown races, Rivas predicts a successful weekend for the team. "I'm very positive about our chances," said the 41-year-old Fresno, Calif. native. "The track has a very high elevation and it's the only track on the pro stock motorcycle circuit like it. But the team did well here in the past, and I've done well here in the past."

Last season, the G2 Motorsports Drag Specialties S&S Cycle team with Chip Ellis aboard its pro stock motorcycle achieved a new track record for lowest elapsed time with a 7.332 seconds run. At the last event, Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, Rivas was eliminated during the second round against Eddie Krawiec. Although he was disappointed by the performance at Norwalk, he was determined to stay optimistic.

"We can move on from Norwalk and consider it a learning experience. I still believe our motorcycle will be a top contender from here through the end of the countdown. We need to stay positive and learn from our missed tune ups in Norwalk and move forward."

Like most other teams participating in the 2008 NHRA POWERade season, the G2 team spent the holiday weekend restocking supplies and preparing for the Western Swing of the season.

"We (the team) didn't need the break, but it gave us some extra time to resupply. The crew freshened up one of our best engines and we'll use that engine for Denver.

This weekend's race marks the eighth pro stock motorcycle race and 13th national event in the 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing season. After Denver, there are four races remaining until the Countdown to One Championship begins.
