HERBERT'S DAY COMES TO AN EARLY END

Denver, Colo. (July 15, 2007) Doug Herbert, driver of the Snap-on Tools Top Fuel dragster, saw the 28th Annual Mopar Mile-High Nationals come to end after one round of racing action.

After qualifying in the No. 13 position, Herbert and J.R. Todd squared off for the right to move into the quarter finals under the hot Colorado sun.

Herbert was first off the line with a quick reaction time (.056 of a second), but the Snap-on Tools dragster soon succumbed to tire shake.

"What can we say?" said Herbert. "We didn't get it done. We're frustrated, but we will keep working to get rid of the gremlins. There are still lots of races left in the season. Maybe next week will be our week."
