Q Racing Ready for Sunday's Eliminations

ENNIS, Texas (Oct. 8, 2005) -- Tony Pedregon, for the third time in a row, placed the Q Racing Nitro Funny Car in the top half of the field, grabbing the fourth-qualifying position for tomorrow's O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex.

Pedregon secured the fourth spot on a run of 4.711-seconds at 326.71 mph, set during Friday night's first session. He added another solid pass today and is set up for a first round match up with Del Worsham.

"I'm glad we are qualifying consistently in the top half of the field," Pedregon said. "Same as yesterday, we were pushing the car to the limit, so we know how far we can take it on race day. We were expecting warmer temperatures for tomorrow, but we'll be able to adapt and race strong.

"Whenever I race in Dallas, it's very encouraging to meet all the Hispanic fans that come to see us race," Pedregon added. "We still have family and friends in this area and it would be very nice to bring a victory home to Dallas, for the fans and for Q Racing."
