ENNIS - Super Gas Accident Dave Wood Finds Wall During Time Trials by Larry Sullivan ENNIS, Texas - SUMMIT FastNews - Dave Wood, Dallas, Texas, was apparently uninjured when his '70 Nova Super Gas entry went out of control during a Thursday morning time trial run for the 13th annual NHRA Revell Nationals. Wood's car was observed to be "a little loose" during the first part of the run and made a hard left turn around 1,000 feet into the run, crossing from the right lane and hitting the left retaining wall. The car bounced back across the track and also hit the right wall before coming to a stop. Wood was examined at the track and appeared to have no injuries, but was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie for overnight observation because of the severity of the impact.
