Line reaches semifinals at Texas Motorplex

ENNIS, Texas (September 23, 2007) -- Jason Line, driver of the KB Racing LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO, advanced to the semifinal round during today's 22nd annual NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals, at the Texas Motorplex before being turned back by Dave Connolly.

Line, who grew up in Wright Minn., and now lives in Mooresville, N.C., defeated Ron Krisher and Richie Stevens, Jr. en route to the semifinals.

The outing today helped Line narrow the point deficit between fourth place and him to 12 points. The reigning NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Champion has one race remaining -- Richmond -- to overcome the point deficit if he is to have the opportunity to win back-to-back championships.

"Our goal is still to be in the final leg of the Countdown," said Line, following the semifinals. "We'll do our homework during the off time before Richmond and then go at it there. Whatever will be, will be."
