ENNIS - Accident Ends Racing for Thursday It's Late, It's Cold, and It's a Mess by Larry Sullivan ENNIS, Texas - SUMMIT FastNews - The fourth accident of the day, during the second round of Super Gas eliminations Thursday night, forced NHRA officials to call it a day at 9:30 PM because of the late hour, the expected lengthy cleanup time, and a rapidly cooling racing surface. The Super Gas cars remaining in the staging lanes and the other Sportsman cars waiting for their second round of eliminations were sent back to the pits and were told to leave the pit area as quickly as possible in order to clear parking space for Professional competitors, who will begin parking at 6 AM Friday morning.
