Columbus, Ohio (June 17) - Tim Freeman, driver of the Speedco Truck Lubes Chevy S-10, came to the Pontiac Excitement Nationals having qualified at the last four races. His streak would end when he would fail to qualify at the 36th Annual Pontiac Excitement Nationals.

Freeman's 7.651 / 176.03 mph in the fourth round of qualifying would be his best attempt of the weekend, but would only be good for the 18th spot and out of the field.

"We couldn't get ahold of the racetrack all weekend. The heat and the humidity really made the racetrack hard to tune for. We just never got it figured out. We swapped motors for the last session, and the truck ran better, but it was not enough.

"We had a pretty good streak going, but I know we can start a new streak next week in St. Louis. We learned something with every pass we made. That will give us a place to start when we get to the next race. The conditions in St. Louis will be a lot like they were here. So hopefully we will be able to take what we learned here and use it St. Louis. We will be alright."

The next stop on the NHRA Drag Racing Series is the 4th Annual Sears Craftsman National in Madison, Ill. Jun 22-24.
