Good News And Exciting News For Kenny Koretsky

BRAINERD, MINN. - - The good news is that Kenny Koretsky has been given the 'green light' by both his doctor and NHRA to return to racing at the NHRA 20th annual Colonel's Truck Accessories Nationals at The Colonel's Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minn., this weekend. Koretsky has been sidelined since June when an incident at National Trail Raceway between Koretsky, his Pro Stock Camaro, and the retaining wall resulted in the Richboro, Penn., driver being airlifted to a local Columbus, Ohio hospital. He has spent the time since the incident recovering from injuries suffered in the crash.

"I feel good and look forward to getting back in the saddle at Brainerd," said Koretsky. "Eddie Guarnaccia will once again join me as crew chief and Rickie Smith will continue as a consultant. Frank Iaconio has refreshed all our engines and the 2001 Jerry Bickel Pro Stock Camaro is ready for action. But the most exciting news is that that we have on board a new marketing partner - - The New Auto Toy Store - - for the remainder of the 2001 season. Now we can really race on Sunday, sell on Monday."

The New Auto Toy Store, with locations in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and West Mifflin, Penn., is the largest exotic car showroom in the world. It features classics, hotrods and motorcycles. Among the brands featured are: Bentley, Ferrari, Hummer, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Panoz, Porsche, Qvale, and Rolls-Royce. According to their website (www.thenewautotoystore.com): "When you're looking for a pre-owned exotic car, look no further -- It just doesn't exist if it's not on the floor of the world famous Auto Toy Store."

R.J. Baldwin, general manager of The New Auto Toy Store, reflected on the new marketing partnership, "We're really excited about our racing relationship with Kenny Koretsky. We have done business with him in the past and look forward to this new business endeavor. The majority of our clientele deal in high performance and race cars. We sell to a lot of people in the racing industry. With the majority of our inventory being high end exotic cars, The New Auto Toy Store, Kenny Koretsky and drag racing are a match."

Koretsky's transporter and Camaro will begin carrying the logo and colors of The New Auto Toy Store this weekend, Thursday through Sunday, August 16-19, at the Colonel's Truck Accessories Nationals.
