Force wins in Texas and becomes first to win 100 NHRA National events.

National Hot Rod Association: Funny Car star John Force finally notched his 100th career victory in a national NHRA event when he edged Tommy Johnson in the final round of O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Baytown, Texas.

Force was one of eight drivers to win their class on Goodyear tires. The weekend gave Goodyear an industry-leading 29 final round wins in national NHRA competition this season.

Force's win was his second victory of the season. He also won the season opener at Pomona.

Force becomes one of the few drivers in history to reach the triple-digit plateau. Others have included NASCAR stars Richard Petty (200 wins) and David Pearson (105).

Kenny Bernstein beat Tony Schumacher to win the Top Fuel final and Mike Edwards became the fifth driver to win a Pro Stock final in five races this season. Edwards defeated Kurt Johnson in the final round.

David Rampy gave Goodyear its fifth win in five races in Competition Eliminator when he edged Scott Tidwell by just four feet. Peter Biondo collected the win in Super Stock and Joe Harper won in Super Gas.

Shannon Jenkins won the Pro Mod class and Jeremy Wilson won in Super Street.
