Baguette on the crest of the wave: Sports Awards in Belgium and Test with
Renault F.1
After the splendid season with Draco Team in the Renault World Series 3.5
championship, Bertrand Baguette in recent months is full of "Champion's
engagement".
Tuesday, November 10, the Verviers driver was honored in Mons as
Sportsman of the Year of the French Community of Belgium, male category.
The 2009 was undoubtedly his year, with 5 wins and 10 podiums in 17
races.
The young driver was behind a linear career: after winning the Renault
program for young talents in karting, Baguette was in the Formula Renault
1600 Championship in Belgium and later he moved to Formula 2.0 Eurocup;
in 2007 the jump in Renault formula 3.5 and the following year he
continued his course with Draco Team.
By winning the title in 2009, the Belgian has won the coveted test with
Renault F.1 to be held in the circuit of Jerez on December 1.
To prepare for the test in Formula 1, Baguette is carrying out a specific
physical training and then he will go to Enstone and focus on the
scheduling of tests. The car that he will drive it will be lighter and
more powerful and the working environment and settings will different.
Baguette feels ready for this new adventure that probably will be the
first step towards the big formula of the Motorsport.
