Fat Burner Racing Engineering announces drivers for Paul Ricard

Fat Burner Racing Engineering confirms today that a total of six drivers will test for the Spanish team during the collective GP2 tests which will take place next week at the Paul Ricard Circuit in France.

This will be the second opportunity for the Fat Burner Racing Engineering Team to evaluate the possible candidates for the 2010 season since the end of the 2009 GP2 Championship. During the three days test, which will start on the 10th of November and conclude on Thursday, the 12th, the Spanish Team will run Christian Vietoris, Fabio Leimer, Roldan Rodriguez, Charles Pic, Jerome d'Ambrosio and Sam Bird at the wheel of its two Dallara GP2 cars.

German Christian Vietoris and Swiss Fabio Leimer will share duties during the first test day at the French track. Runner-up of this year's Formula 3 Euro Series, the 20 years-old German made his debut in GP2 competing in the 2009 GP2 Asia Series in Abu-Dhabi, where he won the sprint race. For Fabio Leimer, International Formula Master's reigning champion, this test will represent a chance to show his skills to Fat Burner Racing Engineering after celebrating his debut in GP2 Asia Series' race in Abu Dhabi, like Vietoris.

The Spanish team will work with Roldan Rodriguez and Charles Pic for the second test day at the Paul Ricard circuit. Roldan Rodriguez is no stranger to the Series and Fat Burner Racing Engineering after participating in the GP2 Championship during the last three seasons and testing with the Spanish outfit at the last collective test at Jerez, where the Spaniard set very competitive times. French born Charles Pic, on the other had, just made his GP2 debut in Abu-Dhabi as well, after finishing the 2009 World Series by Renault in third place.

The last test day, which will also mark the end of the 2009 GP2 Main Series season, will see the English driver Sam Bird and Belgian Jerome d'Ambrosio showing their strengths and skills at the wheel of the two Fat Burner Racing Engineering cars. The 22 years-old English driver, who was Williams F1 Team test driver in 2007, finished fifth in this year's Formula 3 Euro Series Championship. He also competed in both the British Formula 3 Championship and Tango Masters of Formula 3. For Jerome D'Ambrosio this will be his second opportunity in little more than a month to shine and impress at the steering wheel of the Spanish team, having driven one of the red cars during the Jerez test in October.
