Bodine...Has Earned Five Truck Series Wins at Texas Motor Speedway
* Has More Wins at Texas Than Any Other NCWTS Driver
* Drives for Germain Racing--the Only Toyota Tundra Team to Win at TMS
November 3, 2009 (Mooresville, N.C.) - Germain Racing is prepared to
head to a highlight on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule.
Texas Motor Speedway, one of eight 1.5-mile tracks on the schedule, has
hosted Germain Racing in victory lane six times, with five wins coming
from the No. 30 Copart/Purpleheartcars.org Tundra driven by 2006 Truck
Series champion Todd Bodine.
"We've got confidence going to Texas Motor Speedway because we've had
success there. But, it doesn't guarantee success for this week or this
race. We still have to give it that 110% effort like we do every week.
If we don't we're going to end up finishing eighth instead of seeing the
Copart/PurpleHeartCars.org Tundra in victory lane," said Bodine, who
drives for the only Toyota Tundra team to have visited victory lane at
Texas.
The No. 30 Tundra crew is coming off a thrilling run last week at
Talladega. Bodine finished third, his third consecutive top-five
finish--a streak that began at Las Vegas, a sister track to TMS. Bodine
says the team's TMS success really isn't a "secret."
"We've gotten lucky a couple times at Texas, and it takes a little luck
sometimes to go along with the hard work. But, it takes a lot of hard
work. We've always had the No. 30 Copart/PurpleHeartCars.org set up for
what it takes to run well at mile and a half race tracks. We've put
ourselves in a position to win at Texas and we've had Tundras capable of
carrying it through," explained Bodine.
Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. and the No. 30 Tundra crew have prepared
chassis TRD-124 for Texas. It last visited victory lane in June at Texas
and has been a threat to win in nearly every race it's run in 2009.
TRD-124 made its 2009 debut in Dover where the truck was arguably the
fastest in the field--though the truck finished laps down to the leaders
due to persistent tire problems. After its win at TMS in June, the
chassis raced at Kentucky, Nashville, Chicagoland and Las Vegas. Bodine
led laps in this Tundra at 5 of the 6 tracks it has been raced this
season.
Racing action at Texas Motor Speedway starts at 9:00 PM Eastern on
Friday, Nov. 2nd, with qualifying on Thursday at 8:00 PM Eastern. Watch
the 147 Laps/220.5 miles of racing in the WinStar World Casino 350 on
SPEED or tune in to your local MRN affiliate.

Is there a Secret to your Success at Texas?
"We have good trucks at Texas and it's one of those tracks where you
can't lack in any area. It's almost wide open all the way around, every
lap, so you've got to have the truck set up to where it's good and free,
but you can't have it too loose. You've got to have good track position
so you've got to have great pit stops--you have to have it all."
You've dominated the Texas Winner's Circle since 2004, do you go there
with that goal?
"We don't go to Texas to lead every lap. We go there to do what we
normally strive to do at any race track, which is to bring a truck that
will stay up front and will keep us in position to win. To be able to
say we've won five races at one race track is something that no other
Truck Series team can say, so, going to Texas and winning at Texas is
special."
