NO 'STRANGER' TO WINNING, NHRA's AGALSOFF MAKES TOP 10 PLUS "PERFECTLY
STRANGE AWARD" - ALL IN A DOOR CAR AT U.S. NATIONALS LABOR DAY
VALLEY VIEW, OH-Sept. 4, 2007- The B'laster Corporation, which sponsors
NHRA Sportsman Jeff Agalsoff, proudly announces the racer's top 10 ranking
at the Super Comp at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual Mac
Tools U.S. Nationals which took place at the Clermont, Indiana, quarter-
mile track Labor Day weekend.
To boot, Agalsoff earned bragging rights to "The Perfectly Strange Award"
in round two Monday. The prize goes to anyone in Super Comp who earns an
8.900 perfect time.
And it gets, well, even stranger. Not only was Agalsoff added to the lineup
less than one week before the competition, but his wife Cheri Brewer
managed to fly in on a red-eye at the last minute from California in her
own record time - with their son Kyle in tow.
"It's extremely exciting to go five rounds in the U.S. Nationals Super
Comp. We had 160 cars and got down to 10," explains Agalsoff. "The Super
Comp is a class predominated by dragsters, which are somewhat more
consistent than door cars. So it's more difficult to run a door car, but
all the more satisfying when you do well. Plus, the fans like it more. It
was just amazing!"
