CHILI PEPPER RACING HOPEFUL AFTER SCCA REDUCES GTO RESTICTOR TO 30%.
Toronto, Ontario, CANADA, August 31, 2005. Chili Pepper Racing/Autosport
Development readies the #7 Remote Area Medical/TC Thompson Children's
Hospital GTO for Round 10 at Mosport. Jim Osborn remains hopeful that
the current round of competition adjustments will give the GTO a needed
boost. "The GTO is a great racing platform" said Osborn. "It seems we
have the handling but we are down on straight line speed due to our
aerodynamic disadvantage--we were hoping for more of a restrictor
reduction". "We were fortunate at Denver to get the GTO into 13th
position but with Mosports long straight we will need more top speed than
we have been able to accomplish to-date."
Chili Pepper Racing's next event is the 2005 Post Petit Lemans Charity
Motorcycle Ride to benefit the Light House Family Retreat and Remote Area
Medical October 1-2, 2005 in association with Road Atlanta, Autosport
Development, the Flowery Branch Yacht Club, Lake Lanier Lodges, and
Sports Car Revolution. For more information on the Petit Lemans weekend
charity event visit www.chilipepperracing.org.
