Jose Luis Ramirez to Pilot the #43 DelValle Entry at Mexico City Busch
Series Race
- Hispanic Driver inks Driver Development with CAPG/looks forward to
racing at historic home track -
Mooresville, NC (February 14, 2005) -- NASCAR Grand National West
Series driver Jose Luis Ramirez will make his NASCAR Busch Series debut
in the #43 Del Valle Nectars Curb-Agajanian Entry at the world famous
Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez race course. The deal will also include a
driver development contract between CAPG and the Mexico City native that
may include events later in the year in the #43. Long-time Ramirez
supporter Del Valle Nectars will be the primary sponsor of the effort.
Del Valle--A company that cares
Del Valle is one of the fastest growing brands of fruit nectars and
juices in America. Fifty years of experience manufacturing food products
in the United States, Mexico and Brazil contributes to their leading
reputation for quality. The strictest possible standards in the way they
grow the fruit, the way they harvest it and ultimately in the way they
process and package it are the backbone of Valle's commitment to
excellence. At Del Valle, they believe in handling everything with its
due respect. It's a philosophy that translates not only into what they
produce but how they treat the environment.
To keep Mother Nature happy, they help farmer's plant and care for
their crop, which also assures them of meeting their standards for
quality. Before any fruit becomes Valle product it is inspected for
color, ripeness and physical condition, a process most appreciated by
their customers. In 1994, they commissioned the construction of one of
the most technologically advanced plants to date for the treatment of
wastewater. And recently they completed a park called "Frutsi Home",
where nearly fifty thousand children a year learn about nature, ecology
and the environment.
Jose Luis Ramirez--Going home
The NASCAR Busch Series Race at Mexico City will be an adventure for most
of NASCAR's traveling community, but it will be a homecoming for
Jose Luis Ramirez. The talented NASCAR Grand National Division-West
Series driver will return home to a circuit where he has hundreds of
laps. Ramirez competed in the season opening Copper World Classic at the
Phoenix International Raceway where fuel pickup problems late in the
event contributed to a 28th place finish. He finished 10th in the West
Series points in 2004 with two top-10 finishes driving for Performance
Motorsports. A sixth place finish at the Stockton 99 finish in May is
his career best backed up with a tenth place finish at the California
Speedway in his first super-speedway start. Ramirez capped off an
impressive rookie year by being invited to and competing in the Toyota
All-Star Showdown at the Irwindale Speedway.
"It will be an honor to race in this first NASCAR Busch Series race
at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez course. Even with the changes in the
layout, I believe that my experience there will help me out a great
deal", said Ramirez. "It will also be a thrill to race with
my fellow countrymen during this event. I consider Adrian Fernandez a
hero and to be on the same track with him will be something I never
forget".
MIKE CURB AND CARY AGAJANIAN, CO-OWNERS OF THE #43 CAPG ENTRY
"NASCAR's Drive for Diversity has really inspired all of us.
The Busch Series Race at Mexico City gives a great platform to introduce
Jose Luis to the NASCAR Busch Series," said Cary Agajanian.
"Our goal is to give him a great car and the best coaching and
allow Jose Luis to put his best foot forward in his first series
race."
"We are pleased to be working with Jose and Del Valle in this
venture. He is a great kid and it really is our pleasure to allow him
the opportunity to race in his home country, in his home city and at his
home track. Not many get the opportunity to accomplish their dreams.
This race at this time gives Jose this chance. We are just thrilled for
him, "said Mike Curb.
