It was an old fashioned "two fer" for Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills, at
The Greenwood Valley Action Track this week. Colby won the Sportsman
Micro Sprint 250cc Feature earlier in the evening and then notched a win
in the 270cc contest. When he won the Sportsman event he lost the engine
in the last few feet and later in the Regular Feature he crossed the
finish line with motor problems. In the second spot in the Micro Feature
was A. J. Bast, followed to the line by Joel VanBuskirk, Danville, Todd
Hoover, Mt. Pleasant Mills, and Joe Bednarski, Plymouth. In sixth place
was Skeetz Hockenbrock, Paxinos, seventh was Jake Starr, Millville and
rounding out the top ten were Chad Thomas, New Berlin, Sean Good,
Middleburg and Neil Petock, Bloomsburg.
Of the nine micro 250cc cars entered in the Sportsman Feature only four
finished. Colby Womer managed a first place spot, Denny Rinehimer,
Bloomsburg was second, Jim Reese, Bloomsburg, third and Ron Metzger was
fourth.
Caesar Bordo, Scranton, scored a first place finish in the Rookie Micro
Sprint Feature. Todd Letteer, Millville, was second while Nathan Ritter
was third. In the fourth spot was Adam Romig, fifth, Randy Myers and in
sixth, Aaron Rinehimer. The rest of the top ten were Deb Arner, Kevin
Heffelfinger, Tim Suydam and Nathan Snyder.
The gates at The Greenwood Valley Action Track open at three every
Saturday with racing getting underway at 5:30. Bring the family and
enjoy the finest in dirt track fun at The Action Track, located 3 1/2
miles east of Millville, right on Oriole Rd. and right on Bottom Rd. See
