NASCAR Grand National Division, Winston West Series at the showroom of the Eldorado Hotel in Reno, Nev.,
Series veteran Scott Gaylord of Lakewood, Colo., who drives the Oliver Gravity Separators/Denver Seminary #00 recieved the 5th place trophy for the year end point championship with prize monies won of over $100,000 in 2003. This is the teams 9th top 10 finish in the point championship. Gaylord also won the year-end award from POWERade, along with $5,870. He had won the POWERade Power Move of the Race $1,000 Award at four events during the season, for advancing the most positions in a race.
Gaylord thanked Oilver Gravity Separators for being the longest team sponsor in the series now in its 15th year and Denver Seminary for there support the last two years, and DC Racing Engines for their awesome power and Annie at Sign Edge Race Car Graphics for all of her support and good work.
He also thanked his crew cheif Fred Roempler, his volunteer crew and Donna his wife for her role as the teams manager/spotter. Finally Scott thanked Winston who is leaving the series for thier support of the seires for so many years. Mike Keon photo
