Rookie Scott Lynch became the first repeat winner of 2003 when he won the NAPA 200 at Rocky Mountain Raceways in West Valley, Utah. Lynch, who completed his studies at the University of Utah and graduated a month earlier, took the lead with 12 laps remaining. He averaged 67.433 mph.

C.T. Hellmund, who completed the 200-lap chase around the 3/8-mile oval without pitting, finished second. Hellmund was .503 of a second behind the winner.

Mark Reed finished third, followed by points leader Steve Portenga and Scott Gaylord.

Austin Cameron won the Bud Pole Award with a lap of 88.149 mph.

Lynch used the victory to pull within 13 points of Portenga in the standings. Lynch will almost certainly win the Rookie of the Year Award.
