RANGER FUELS SMOKELESS VICTORY CELEBRATION AT INFINEON

SONOMA, Calif. (June 21, 2010) -- Andrew Ranger became one of the few drivers in recent memory to win a race and celebrate without a Goodyear-smoking burnout when he won the Thunder Valley Casino Resort 200 race at Infineon Raceway.

That's what happens when you run out of fuel within sight of the finish line.

Ranger collected his first victory in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, despite using up his entire allotment of fuel. He edged a fast-closing Paulie Harraka by 6.095 seconds.

Goodyear's bias-ply road racing tire combination for the K&N Pro Series West is the same the tiremaker supplies for the K&N Pro Series East and the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series when those series race on twisting circuits usually associated with sports cars. Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the three racing series.

Ranger and Harraka were followed by Brandon Davis, Eric Holmes and Michael Self. There were 37 starters. Ranger averaged 69.155 mph for the 64-lap chase around the 1.949-mile venue.

"The top five finishers went the distance without changing tires and tire performance was excellent, "said Chad Fletcher, Goodyear's sales account manager for NASCAR touring series. "The forward bite was good all race long, which we expected. This tire package has been in action two weeks in a row now, including last week's Canadian Tire Series race. It's a very solid package."

Ranger led on two occasions, including the last 16 laps. There were eight lead changes.
