Grand National Division Rookie racer Justin Lofton takes to the Infamous Infineon Race track

Justin Lofton is heading north this week to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma to compete in the Blue Lizard Suncream 200. The rookie and his team have gained valuable insight into the Grand National Division series since his first Grand National race at Mesa Marin Raceway in the final event of 2005. The #66 Bob Lofton Cattle Feeding Investments Monte Carlo will hit the track, in a companion event with NEXTEL Cup's Dodge/Save Mart 350, in preparation for the return of the NASCAR AutoZone Grand National West Series to the infamous track located in Napa County on Saturday, June 24th.

The 64-lap event, on the 2.52-mile road course, will test the limits of many drivers attempting their first start on such a track. Although the 20-year-old rookie has only run 17 events on asphalt tracks, he does have success in off-road racing. In testing, earlier this month, Justin was able to draw from his off-road experience by applying some of that knowledge to the road course. Over the two-day period Justin was able to get comfortable with the track and steadily improved his lap time.

"The team is excited about this opportunity to showcase their dedication and the hard work that they have put forth in preparation for this race." said Lofton, "I'd like to thank Lofton Cattle Feeding Investments for their continued support throughout the season." The Blue Lizard Suncream 200 will air live on HDNet June 24 at 4:00 PM (EST) by the broadcast team of Mike Hogewood, Pat Patterson, Dave Burns, Dan Pardus and Kandace Krueger.
