#00 fast at Phoenix until problems, finished 7th.
Scott Gaylord (No. 00 Oliver Gravity Separators/ Denver Seminary Chevrolet) started 6th at the season opener at Phoenix International Raceway, after qualifying was rained out. He quickly worked his way up to 3rd when the car suddenly started to slow due to a missfire of some nature causing a loss of power.
It was about lap 50 when Gaylord called in on the radio saying "the engine just lost power and has a miss". Both Ignition systems were tried and several other methods in the cockpit to try to locate the problem but Gaylord was forced to pit many times under yellow but the team could not locate the problem.
The #00 team did a great job beating many of the 30 teams out of the pits. After the miss occured Scott did a great job on the race track making up a few positions and most importantly staying on the lead lap. The Oliver Gravity Separators Monte Carlo #00 finished 7th.
Gaylord added to his string starting his 50th consecutive race and his134th overall in the NASCAR GRAND NATIONAL DIVISION, WEST SERIES.
The team welcomes Events West which has joined us this year as an associate sponsor and will be helping the team with apparel and other promotional items. "I was very happy to see Colorado back on the Scheduel this year, it has been something we all have been working on for a couple years, it will be great to run in front of our home town croud again. The fans in Colorado are great and Colorado is home to both Oliver and Denver Seminary."
