MAYHEW MASTERS IOWA TRACK, WINS CAMPING WORLD RACE

NEWTON, Iowa (Sept. 8, 2009) -- David Mayhew led every lap but one, winning the NASCAR Camping World Series West Central Iowa Building and Construction Trades 125 at Iowa Speedway.

Mayhew led the first 96 laps around the 7/8-mile oval and he led the last 28, giving way for just one lap to Series points leader Jason Bowles.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire supplier for the NASCAR Camping World Series East and West programs. The bias-ply tire combination used at Iowa is the same that has been used for every Camping World Series race at the venue.

"This is the fourth race in three seasons that we have used this tire combination," said Chad Fletcher, Goodyear sales account manager for the NASCAR touring series. "Everytime we run here, the teams have learned more about the tire and the track and the tire wear has been excellent."

Bowles finished second, 2.288 seconds behind the winner. Max Gresham took third, followed by Brett Moffitt and Jeff Barkshire. There were 27 starters.

Bowles leads the championship standings with 1,998 points. Eric Holmes, who finished 10th at Iowa, is second with 1,920.
