FONTANA, Calif. - Burney Lamar scored his second victory of the season in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series with a win in the Relocate Here 200 presented by San Bernardino County at California Speedway on Friday.

Lamar, who started seventh on the grid, led 25 of 100 laps. He took the lead for good on lap 85 and held off Johnny Borneman for the win.

It was the second victory in three races this year for Lamar and car owner Kevin Harvick, who won the series championship as a driver in 1998.

Borneman trailed Lamar by .704 of a second at the finish. Mike Duncan finished third, followed by Scott Lynch and series rookie Spencer Clark.

With his fourth-place finish, Lynch retained his lead in the championship standings over Duncan - 1,519 to 1,471.
