ICKLER WINS GRAND NATIONAL WEST RACE AT DOUGLAS COUNTY

ROSEBURG, Ore. (June 30, 2007) -- Brian Ickler led the final 15 laps and won the BI-MART Firecracker 150 at Douglas County Speedway. The race was a NASCAR Grand National West Series event.

Ickler averaged 87.691 mph and won the event by a hefty 2.4 seconds over runnerup Johnny Borneman.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Grand National Division, which includes the Busch East Series. That means drivers in NASCAR's top five divisions, including the Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck series, all race on Goodyear rubber. The tires supplied to the GND are of bias-ply construction.

Ickler is now third in the race for the West title, trailing only Mike David and Borneman. David won the Bud Pole Award, with a lap averaging 119.276 mph around the half-mile oval, and led the first 63 laps before finishing 15th.

Jason Bowles finished third in the race, followed by Alex Haase and veteran Jim Inglebright.
