SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (September 3, 2003)-- After a one-week hiatus, for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway, racing returns to action Sunday September 7th. The Coor's Late Models will compete in a 150-lap show; with the Sheetz Limited Sportsman racing for 50 laps and the GRAND Home Furnishings Pure Stock division has a 30-lap race scheduled.

Fans attending the Winston Cup race in Richmond on Saturday September 6th can bring their ticket stubs from Richmond International Raceway and buy two adult tickets and get the third one free.

Gates will open at 12 noon with qualifying set for 1:15 p.m. and the green flag will wave at 2:30 p.m. Adults pay $10 with youth ages 10-15 paying $5 and children nine and under are free. The Pepsi Racing For Kids Challenge is also set for Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. start time. Children ages four to seven can compete for trophies and bragging rights.

Fans can bring out the whole family for a fun-filled weekend of racing and camping at Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway for the remainder of the 2003 season. Fans who purchase two tickets to any event at the speedway can camp out for the entire weekend, Friday through Sunday at no charge. Additional Speedway amenities and activities include a pool, arcade, a pond for fishing, grassy meadows, and paved roadways for jogging and biking.

A "Free Flea Market" will also be a part of the festivities at South Boston on September 7th. Free 10 X 10 spaces are still available for vendors and fans that would like to sell their goodies.
