South Boston to race tonight.

Despite a threatening weather forecast, racing action is still on for tonight's Pepsi Night at Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway.

"The forecast indicates that we may have a window to get the show in, and we will try to do just that," commented Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway General Manager Cathy Rice. "If we cannot get the show in tonight, it will be run tomorrow, on Sunday April 27, with grandstand gates opening at noon and on-track action also beginning at noon."

Tonight's schedule calls for gates to open at 5 p.m., and with time trials at 5:30 p.m. Racing action is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., and will include a 150-lap event for the Coors Light Late Models, offering $3000 to win. There will also be a 50-lap race for the Sheetz Limited Sportsman Division, twin 30s for the Pure Stocks, 25 laps for the Southern Vintage Modifieds.

Adult tickets are only $10, with young adults, 10-15 admitted for $5. Kids nine and under are free.
