Field Set For NSJAPS Domino's Pizza 200
Greenville, SC-Qualifying was completed, the cars were on the grid, but Mother Nature intervened forcing postponement of the NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series "Domino's Pizza 200" on Saturday night at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC. The "Domino's Pizza 200" will take the green flag at 8:00 p.m. on May 10.
Second year driver Derrick Gilchrist of Raleigh, NC will lead the field to the green flag. Gilchrist notched his first career Busch Pole Award as a result of chauffeuring his Fairfield Inns Chevrolet Monte Carlo to a fast time of 19.637 seconds equating to a speed of 91.66 mph. Starting outside of Gilchrist on the front row will be the co-points leader, Milford, OH's Jeff Fultz who fell four one/hundreth's of a second short of Gilchrist's time. Tied with Fultz for the points lead, and starting in the third position, will be Nipper Alsup of Huntersville, NC who was six one/hundreth's of a second behind Fultz. 46 drivers were on hand to contest for 32 starting positions.
