DISTANCE: 150 Laps (199.95 Miles)

POSTED AWARDS: $143,025

FIELD: 43 Cars. Thirty-one starting positions will be determined through two laps of qualifying. Positions 32 - 35 will be filled by the top four highest finishing drivers in the Qualifying Race who elect to transfer. Positions 36 - 37 will be available to any driver in the top 30 2001 Gatorade All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring Championship point standings who have not qualified for one of the original 31 positions, provided eligible driver attempts to qualify in qualifying events. Provisional positions 38 - 39 are available to any top 30 car owner in the current 2001 points standing who has not qualified for one of the original 31 positions. Provisional position 40 will be for a past champion who ran in 2000 on the series. Provisional position 41 available to the highest 30 car owners in the current 2001 RE/MAX points standing. Provisional position 42 will be available to the highest 30 car owners in the 2001 Featherlite Southwest Series points standing with position 43 available to the highest 30 car owners in the current 2001 Raybestos Northwest Series points standing. Official points standing and not time trial speed will determine these positions.

THE RACE: The MBNA All American Thanksgiving Classic will be race 16 of 16 races on the 2001 Gatorade All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring Schedule. Cautions will count towards total laps and the race can end with a checkered flag or a green-white-checkered situation.

EVENT REVIEW: This will be the final event on the 2001 Gatorade All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring Schedule. There will be a number of things decided in this event. The 2001 Gatorade All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring National Champion will be decided. The 2001 Wireway/Husky Corporation Rookie-of-the-Year will be decided. The 2001 Bud Pole Award Winner will be decided. A new qualifying mark will be determined as well as a new race record in this event. This will be the largest posted awards and largest starting field in the history of this NASCAR Division.

NOTES OF INTEREST: (1) Series points leader Wayne Anderson leads all dri ers with six wins in 2001. (2) Anderson has led over 33% of laps run in 2001 (3) Randy Gentry, second in series points, has an oustanding 99.6% laps completed percentage in 2001. (4) Jeff Fultz, third in series points has four wins in 2001. (5) This will be the third track over 1-mile in length for the series in 2001. (6) All cars will run a restrictor plate for the fourth time this year.
