GATORADE ALL PRO SERIES, NASCAR TOURING MYRTLE BEACH 320

MYRTLE BEACH, S. C. (July 14 2001) - Tim Sauter might have lost his NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division ride when the team closed shop last month but did not lose his touch in visiting victory lane as he out dualed Gatorade All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring points leader Wayne Anderson Saturday evening in winning the Myrtle Beach 320 at Myrtle Beach (SC) Speedway. Sauter, making a rare start with this series, recorded his second career win in four career starts. His other win came in 1994 at the Milwaukee Mile. Randy Gentry won his first Bud Pole start of the 2001 season and his second career pole start touring the .538-mile oval in 95.678 mph. Rounding out the top five drivers were Benny Gordon with his second consecutive runner-up finish, Gentry, Anderson and Wireway/Husky Corp. Rookie-of-the-Year points leader Charlie Bradberry.
