Fontaine moves up 2 to 22nd in points after 19th place finish at Birmingham.

In just three Hills Bros. All Pro races, Chris Fontaine has tied his year end standing in last years points race with his 19th place finish at Birmingham International Raceway on May 11.

Chris started the Advance/Discount Auto Parts/Suntrust Hills Bros. All Pro #46 in 27th position of 30 when the green flag fell on the 200 lap race.

Not having had an opportunity to get much practice on the track, Chris ran a smart race, and waited for attrition to take its toll.

By the first caution, he had begun to work his way up through the field, and several cautions later, was up to 22nd.

After Chris pitted to get gas and tires and make adjustments, he continued to move up. By the last caution of the race, with five laps to go, Chris had worked his way up to 19th.

The 19th place finish at Birmingham moved Chris up two spots in the 2002 Hills Bros. All Pro, NASCAR Touring points race from 24th to 22nd.

The next race for Chris and the Advance/Discount Auto Parts/Suntrust #46 will be a 100-lap event at Nashville Superspeedway on June 7. The event will be televised tape-delayed on June 24 at 8pm on FOX.
