MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 13) - Two promotions of Rusty Wallace Inc. personnel were announced today by RWI owner Rusty Wallace.

Tom Knox, who has been serving as marketing director, has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development. John Paysor, who has been serving as an account representative, has been promoted to Director of Business Development.

"Tom Knox and John Paysor are both bright young talented men who have demonstrated the first class professionalism we demand at RWI," said Wallace. "They are leaders in the administration we have in place and really deserve these promotions. I'm so thankful for the staff we've put together and it's such a pleasure to see the tremendous growth our company has enjoyed over the last few years.

"My staff makes it so easy for me," said Wallace. "They always stay on top of every aspect of the business and I look at everything being on 'cruise control' as everything seems to go so smoothly."

In his new position, Knox will continue to grow RWI's personal service sponsors as well as manage the client activation and promotional programs. He will also be responsible for securing sponsorship for RWI Racing Busch Series efforts.

"I'm very pleased with the promotion to this new position," said Knox, a 33-year-old Wayne, N.J., native who previously worked in NASCAR's New York offices before joining RWI in August 1999. "With all that we have going on at RWI, it is certainly a busy, yet pleasurable and rewarding position to be in."

Paysor's new position will see him involved with the acquisition of new business and sponsorship relationships at RWI Racing and the coordinating of sponsor events at the tracks.

"I have certainly enjoyed my last three years with RWI and I am really looking forward to the additional responsibilities I'll have in my new position with the company," said Paysor, a 26-year-old St. Louis native.

The new positions for Knox and Paysor take effect immediately.
