Martinsville, VA---NASCAR Winston Cup drivers will have a record purse for the NAPA AutoCare 500 on Sunday, October 1 at Martinsville Speedway. The posted awards of $2,115,007 for the NAPA AutoCare 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race is $254,476 more than the purse paid one year ago. The entire purse for the NAPA AutoCare 500/Goody’s Body Pain 200 weekend is $2,202,218 including $87,211 for the Goody’s Body Pain 200 NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour race. The NAPA AutoCare 500/Goody’s Body Pain 200 weekend kicks off on Friday, September 29 at 3 p.m. with Bud Pole qualifying for the top 25 Winston Cup starting positions. The Anderson Tractor-John Deere 30-lap Intermedia Allison Legacy Series race will follow Bud Pole qualifying. Tickets for Bud Pole day are $15 for adults and children under 12 get in free. The Goody’s Body Pain 200 Featherlite Modified Tour race starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 30. Adult tickets are $30 and children ages 6-12 can attend for $5. Saturday’s Modified race ticket also includes second round of Winston Cup qualifying at 11:15 a.m. and the final Winston Cup practice from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The NAPA AutoCare 500 NASCAR Winston Cup race starts at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 1. Great reserved seats still are available for $40-$65. Martinsville also has a family section that goes on sale race morning for $40 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12.
