Rain postpones South Boston opener to March 29.

SOUTH BOSTON, VA (MARCH 15, 2003)-- The March 15 Sheetz Spring Fling 300 at Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway has been postponed due to rain. The races have been rescheduled for the evening of March 29, the scheduled beginning of South Boston's regular weekly season. Sheetz convenience stores will serves as presenting sponsor of the March 29 event, with Family Homes of America serving as title sponsor.

In addition to the twin 150-lap NASCAR Late Model event, activities on March 29 will also include twin 50s for the NASCAR Sheetz Limited Sportsman and 30 laps for the Pure Stock division. Also highlighting the evening will be the inaugural "Faster Pastor" competition, along with races for children age four to seven. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth age 10 to 15, and children nine and under are free.
