Peter Petropoulos of Flowery Branch earned the first touring series win of his career in convincing fashion Saturday night by sitting on the pole and leading 94 of 100 laps of the Southern All Star Pro Late Model feature event at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Ga.

For the 24-year old driver of Flowery Branch, Ga., the win was just another step toward his ultimate goal of competing in the top divisions in NASCAR.

In keeping with his "team effort" mentality, Petropolous was quick to praise his Battle Builders, Inc. team for setting up his No. 28 Chevrolet.

"This win means a lot," Petropoulos said. "And it means a lot for the crew.
This proves they're doing a good job. With this being 100 laps, the
tires, air pressure, everthing just came into effect. The car was on a
rail. It was just very good."

With four poles and twin wins in 2003, Petropoulos and the Battle Paint and Drywall team swing back into action on Saturday August 9 in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Lanier National Speedway.
