President Bush rewards Petropoulos for his work with RAD

Washington, DC-- Georgia Late Model driver Peter Petropoulos of Flowery Branch, Georgia received the President's Volunteer Service Award from the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation for his work on "Race Against Drugs". Petropoulos has been involved in the program since 1999 and volunteered at least 100 hours of his time during the past year as a spokesperson for RAD . His efforts to deliver the message that drug free is the better way to be was not confined just to the racing community but to the youth in the Southeast. Petropoulos was selected for this award from thousands of volunteers and hundreds of active racers representing RAD across the county.

"This has been an very special honor", said Petropoulos." We have really enjoyed participating in the program and will continue to do so."

The program is administer by the National Center for Prevention and Research Solutions of South Daytona, Florida.
