Going into this weekend's competition (if I had fax capability, I could get these early in the week from the local NASCAR office, alas), here are the NASCAR Winston Racing Series point standings for the Pacific Coast and Sunbelt regions:

Pacific Coast Region --------------------

    Name Home Points Starts Wins
 1. Tom Pinkowsky Vancouver, Wash. 2893 18 3
 2. Scott Busby Martinez, Calif. 2679 17 7
 3. Bobby Hogge III Salinas, Calif. 2607 17 2
 4. Bobby Hogge IV Salinas, Calif. 2298 17 0
 5. David Furia Healdsburg, Calif. 2188 15 0
 6. Curt Zelmer Portland, Ore. 2187 16 0
 7. Dennis Furia Sr. Healdsburg, Calif. 2133 15 0
 8. Chuck Ogle Peshastin, Wash. 1760 10 6
 9. Bob Hansen Danville, Calif. 1756 12 0
10. Ricky Icenhower Fair Grove, Mo. 1748 11 2

The Pacific Coast Region is a twice-per-week region, taking the best 20 finishes during the season, so those drivers who race only once per week but do well, such as multiple national champion Larry Phillips, who currently has five victories, may not appear atop the points until everyone has run 20 races.

Unfortunately, I don't have hometowns for the Sunbelt Region:

 1. Bruce Stone 1741
 2. Dennis Wooldridge 1707
 3. Carlos Serrano 1655
 4. Donald Smith 1601
 5. Jimmy Bentley 1591
 6. Ivan Russell 1562
 7. Jerry Gay 1544
 8. Peeples Paul 1540
 9. Steve Hendren 1537
10. Gary Tamborelli 1532
