Dells Motor Speedway adds Re/Max Challenge Series, NASCAR Touring event to 2002 schedule.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. (June 21, 2002)--Officials from Wisconsin Dells Motor Speedway and NASCAR recently announced the addition of a RE/MAX Challenge Series event, Saturday night, July 13, at the .33-mile oval. The event is dubbed as the "Welcome Back 200."

The series returns to Dells Motor Speedway after a successful visit this past Memorial Day. Brian Hoppe drove past Eddie Hoffman and claimed the victory in that event.

Long a staple on the RE/MAX Challenge Series schedule, the Dells Motor Speedway had been absent from the schedule for 4 years. However, new track promoter Bryan Severson was responsible for bringing the series back to the oval, located just outside the Midwest's premier summer tourist area.

"We'll work the RE/MAX cars in as part of our Saturday night program," said Severson. "I know the fans loved them when they were here in May. Plus it'll give the fans another opportunity to see our new pit road in action."

The RE/MAX Challenge Series is one of eight NASCAR Touring Series that blanket the United States. NASCAR Touring Series are extremely popular with fans and competitors. They can provide a competitor with an entire career, or they can provide valuable experience to competitors moving through the NASCAR ranks. Corporate sponsors make significant contributions to NASCAR Touring Series point funds. These sponsors include Anheuser-Busch, Featherlite, Goody's Headache Powders, Hills Bros Coffee, Raybestos Brakes, RE/MAX International, Inc., and RJ Reynolds brand, Winston.
