NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series opening night at Bullring Saturday
LAS VEGAS -- Opening night of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series is set for Saturday at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Fans entering the main gate will be greeted by our "Dealers" and the first 1,000 fans will receive a 2004 season schedule magnet.
Saturday will mark round two of 21 of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series races. The Southern Nevada Dodge Dealers Showdown was the first official race of the series this season. Mike Cofer (Super Late Models), Darvin Ackerland (IMCA Modified), Danny Medina (Pro Legends Cars), Dennis Lovelady (Master Legends Cars), Dustin Ash (Semi-Pro Legends Cars) and Dave Green (Thunder Roadsters) were all victorious.
On the racing card for opening night are Super Late Models, Late Models, Chargers, Legends Cars, Thunder Roadsters, Bandolero Cars and Bullring Bombers.
Fans will notice a few new additions to the Bullring this year including: Pit Boss and The Dealers, a revamped Pit Crew Kids Club and specialized race nights.
Young race fans (5-12 years of age) can sign up for the Kids Club for just $5 and receive the following: picture id card, free admission to select Bullring events, newsletter, Pit Crew Club member kit (lunch bag, bag tag, pennant, Pit Boss hero card, temporary tattoos) and the chance to be a crew chief for the night.
Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:20 with racing at 7:15.
General admission is $11 for adults, $9 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $4 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $24. Admission to the Stockyard is $36 per vehicle (up to four people).
Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members.
