LAS VEGAS-- Race fans are invited to kick off their Independence Day holiday weekend with a special night at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Wednesday for the Third Annual July Blastoff featuring the Orleans NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge.

The first 600 fans in the front gate and 100 in the Stockyard will receive a patriotic T-shirt. In addition, the first 100 fans in the front gate will receive a cooler cup courtesy of KFBT/Gold 33.

A Canadian Big Rig exhibition will start the racing night off followed by main events for NASCAR Late Models, I.M.C.A. Modifieds and Legends Cars in which drivers battle for double championship points.

After the points battle simmers down in the weekly racing series divisions, the $500-to-win demolition derby will heat the 3/8-mile paved oval in preparation for a jet car burn. A jet dragster will make an appearance at the oval to melt a Cadillac. A spectacular fireworks finale will cap off the evening.
