Arlene Pittman and "Pink Fire" take on Tiger Country.

GREENVILLE SC (July 12/13 2002) - Arlene Pittman and her number 7 "Pink Fire" Pontiac Sunfire will be racing 'round the track at Greenville-Pickens Speedway, in Greenville South Carolina on Saturday, July 13th. The Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring event is 100 laps of pure racing excitement and Pittman plans to come out on top.

Pittman recently wowed the media in Memphis as she showed off her "Pink Fire" racecar at a press conference at the Cincinnati Marriott. Unfortunately a solid performance was cut short by a transmission failure on lap 7.

Pittman's car is owned by Gary and Dennis Moore of Horseshoe NC and commands attention from anywhere on the track. "Pink Fire" is the name of the cartoonishly styled racecar, complete with flames around the hood and pretty blue twinkling eyes out front. This is Arlene's first year in the Goody's Dash Series where she finds herself 15th in points out of 65 drivers. She is looking forward to Greenville.

Pittman has been racing for 18 years and raced just about every type of car there is, she also raced in the NASCAR Pro-Truck Series. She is an Instructor for the Richard Petty Driving Experience out of Atlanta Motor Speedway.

She is part owner of two racetracks and former host of a Racing TV show.
