NASCAR Touring Officials announce penalties.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 24, 2002)-- NASCAR officials announced penalties against two NASCAR Touring competitors following this past weekend's Busch North Series and Featherlite Modified Series, NASCAR Touring events at New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, N.H.

Jason Janvrin, crew chief of the No. 96 Johnson Lumber Ford Taurus driven by Mike Johnson on the Busch North Series, was fined $750 and penalized under section 12-4-A in the 2002 NASCAR Touring rule book: Actions detrimental to stock car racing and section 12-4-BB: use of altered fuel.

Carl Pasteryak, driver of the No. 75 Western Auto Pontiac on the Featherlite Modified Series, was fined $500 and penalized under section 12-4-A in the 2002 NASCAR Touring rule book: Actions detrimental to stock car racing; involved in an altercation with NASCAR officials.
