Schaeffer's Harley Davidson/Buell, Orwigsburg will again join forces with Shawn Fitzpatrick in 2003 to compete in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series at Big Diamond Raceway in Minersville. The 28 year old owner and driver has indicated that some eminent changes are in place for the upcoming season as teammate and brother Tim has retired from driving the team's modified entry. Tim will remain on the side to offer feedback and assistance when needed. This change has prompted a major overhaul of the 2003 game plan with Shawn making the jump to compete in his rookie season in the modified division at Big Diamond Raceway. A second driver, 28 year old Kyle Weiss from Hamburg will enter the mix as a teammate, carrying the Schaeffer's Harley Davidson/Buell logos and changing his number to "XB9," promoting the hot new series of Buell motorcycles available at Schaeffer's. Weiss and Fitzpatrick have been working together throughout the off-season to prepare 4 cars for the upcoming season, with both drivers set to compete weekly at Big Diamond. Weiss will also pilot his second 21K car on Saturday nights at Grandview Speedway.

Both drivers plan to unveil their new mounts at a special "Race Day" celebration at Schaeffer's Harley Davidson/Buell on Saturday, February 8th at 10:00 A.M. This promises to be a special day for race fans, as drivers from several different forms of motorsports will be on hand to answer questions, sign autographs and just spend time sharing stories about their experiences behind the wheel. Schaeffer's will also offer specials inside the store on Harley Davidson and Buell clothing, accessories and riding gear...plus 0.9% financing on select Buell motorcycles.
