CAISSE LEADS ALL BUT TWO LAPS, WINS BUSCH EAST RACE

THOMPSON, Conn. (July 14, 2007) -- Sean Caisse did nearly everything a driver can do at Thompson International Speedway and was able to narrowly win the Pepsi Racing 100 NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series race here today.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Grand National Division, which includes the West Series. Goodyear now produces the tires for NASCAR's top five divisions.

Caisse led all but two laps of the event, even though the race was extended eight laps beyond its scheduled 100-lap distance to insure that the contest would end under green flag conditions. Still, his victory margin over Matt Kobyluck was less than a third of a second. The winner averaged 64.060 mph.

Kobyluck started 12th before finishing second. Mike Olsen was third, followed by Brad Leighton (who started 13th) and Joey Logano.

Caisse won the Bud Pole Award with a lap of 109.508 mph around the .62-mile oval. He went on to lead laps two through 91 and 93 through 108.

Logano leads the standings with 1,144 points. Olsen is second with 1,049.
