Chase Paced to Leave His Mark in South Boston VA at May 30th Camping World Series Race

Long Pond, PA (May 28th, 2009): Following his race at Lime Rock, Chase Mattioli is ready to take the next step in his professional racing career and is looking for a top five finish in Saturday's Camping World Series Race at South Boston Speedway to make him a main stay in the Camping World Series Circuit.

While running as high as sixth place at Lime Rock, Chase and his cousin Nick Igdalsky's run of bad luck continued when their hopes of a top five finish were crushed when the brakes went out on their # 47 Pocono Raceway JBS KONI Mustang. Even with the recent run of bad luck, Chase remains optimistic and believes that everything is a learning experience. He said "no driver wants to have to experience the things we have at Lime Rock and Laguna; however, as a rookie I believe that experiencing these struggles is important because it helps to prepare me for those times later in my career when I won't be struggling".

With the last two races behind him, Chase is looking forward to getting back to his roots and getting behind the wheel again at South Boston. At South Boston, Chase is hoping to build on last year's strong showing when he placed a top fifteen finish after starting the race in last place.

Following the Camping World Series race at South Boston, Chase will be competing at Pocono in the ARCA-RE/MAX 200 on Saturday, June 6th, a prelude to Pocono's Pocono 500, NASCAR Sprint Cup event on Sunday, June 7th.
