Tiffany Daniels to Drive for Eddie Sharp Racing at South Boston
Denver, N.C. (May 7, 2008) -- Eddie Sharp Racing announced today that Tiffany Daniels will drive an ESR entry in the Strutmasters.com 150 at South Boston Speedway. This will be the Smithfield, Virginia-native's debut in the NASCAR Camping World Series.
"Eddie Sharp Racing is a top-notch organization, so I feel very confident entering the Camping World East Series race at South Boston Speedway," said Daniels. "South Boston Speedway is an excellent track for my debut in the Camping World East series. I have a great deal of racing experience at the track, so my familiarity with the 0.4-mile oval should translate into a successful CW East race. I believe that I will be very competitive in ESR equipment. Driving this race for ESR is a great opportunity to take a step forward in advancing my driving career."
After spending some time turning wrenches on a Bandolero, Tiffany Daniels began racing Legend Semi Pros in 2001. Daniels adapted quickly behind the wheel, earning her first win in 2002 at Langley Speedway. In 2005, Daniels advanced to running a Limited Late Model at South Boston Speedway. In only her second career Late Model start, Daniels grabbed her first top-10 finish.
Daniels' off-track accolades are just as impressive as her on-track performance, graduating Magna Cum Laude from UNC Charlotte (NC) in May 2007 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Concentration in Motorsports, and a Minor in Public Relations. Daniels was also the recipient of the Alan Kulwicki Memorial Scholarship. In addition to her driving career, Daniels is an employee at Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates.
The Strutmasters.com 150 at South Boston Speedway will mark Daniels first start in the NASCAR Camping World Series, another step forward in her driving career.
"I am looking forward to running with this group of talented drivers in NASCAR's Regional division," stated Daniels. "Racing against the tough competitors in the East series will serve to make me a better driver."
