Goody's Dash testing starts at Daytona.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2003) - The first of a two day test session for the Goody's Dash Series got underway today at Daytona International Speedway. Thirty-nine teams were on hand in sunny but cold weather testing for the Feb. 9 Goody's Dash 150, the season opener for the Goody's Dash series.
Posting fast times today were Johnny Chapman, No. 33, Pontiac, 163.313 mph; Randy Humphrey, No. 93A, Pontiac, 163.182 mph; Kelly Sutton, No. 02, Pontiac, 162.657 mph; Mario Gosselin, No. 16, Pontiac, 162.461 mph; and Sean Murphy, No. 94, Pontiac, 162.344 mph.

Women running in the Goody's Dash Series are Kelly Sutton (most popular driver in 2002) in the No. 02 Pontiac, Angie Wilson in the No. 06 Pontiac and Arlene Pittman in the No. 7 Pontiac.
HOBGOOD SIBLING RIVALARY
Brothers Justin and Jake Hobgood are continuing their sibling rivalry and run for the series championship. Father Will Hobgood was the Dash series champion in 1994. Older brother Jake was the 2002 series champion. Now Justin will try to join in the family tradition by making a run for the championship in 2003 after finishing 3rd in points and was the Gatorade front runner award winner in 2002. But he'll have a little competition from his defending champion brother.
