Since they have been practicing down in the south for the season opener up north, the first few weeks of April have felt similar to baseball spring training for the Tops Racing Team.

This past Tuesday, driver Paul Wolfe and the team spent the entire day working on setup at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina to prepare for the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series opener at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire on Sunday, April 27. Like Lee, Hickory is a 3/8 mile short track, so the team was able to fully test the Tops Dodge during the practice sessions. The Tops Dodge ran well, and the team is ready to hit a homerun at Lee.

"We learned a lot and are pretty happy with our setup after running all day Tuesday," Wolfe said. "I am confident we have a potential top-five car heading into Lee."

All the racing takes place on Sunday at Lee. Qualifying for the Freedom 150 begins at 2:45 p.m. The race is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

The Tops Racing Team has also announced Colton RV will be an associate sponsor and the team's official recreational vehicle supplier for the 2003 season. Colton RV, who is No. 1 in RV sales in New York State, recently opened a new state-of-the-art facility in North Tonawanda, NY with an indoor show room and 20 service bays. Colton RV sells and services the RV industry's top manufacturers such as Holiday Rambler, Allegro, Fleetwood, Roadtrek and Forest River.
