NASCAR Busch North Series:

Tom Carey won the Pepsi 150 at Thompson International Speedway. It was his second straight victory, but he never won a bigger race. Race Day was not only Carey's birthday, it was his wedding anniversary.

Carey admitted after the race he had neglected to buy his wife a gift, but a clutch performance during Bud Pole Qualifying earned him the pole position. Carey averaged 109.767 mph on his pole-winning run and averaged 77.020 mph in the race.

Carey led 130 of the 150 laps around the famed .625-mile oval. He completed the distance on one set of Goodyear Eagles, as did second finisher Andy Santerre.

Santerre was just .38 of a second behind the winner. Martin Truex Jr. led 20 laps before finishing third. Matt Kobyluck narrowly beat Mike Johnson for fourth place.
